Sustainability and ESG

Operating alongside a RAMSAR wetland presented us with a challenge that we embraced as a long-term commitment: producing food for the industry without altering the ecosystem around us.

Today, that commitment translates into environmental infrastructure, community programs, and national and international recognition.

Hero

Our Challenge, Solution, and Commitment

Continue our operations without altering the environment, in the conviction that it is possible to work with clean technologies within an ecologically protected area.

Our Solution

We built a Wastewater Treatment Plant using MBR (Membrane Bioreactor) and RO (Reverse Osmosis) technology, capable of recovering the water resource we draw and converting it into reusable water, achieving a positive impact on the ecosystem in which we operate.

Our Commitment

Our ongoing effort to address environmental challenges and continuously improve led us to a comprehensive solution. Achieving water reuse strengthened our proactive enthusiasm for sustainable operations and our continued commitment to promoting our values within the community.

WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT

A WWTP designed to reuse 100% of treated water

Our WWTP is under constant implementation and improvement with a clear objective: to treat all wastewater generated by the corporation’s various processes, achieving water that meets environmental quality standards and delivers a positive impact on the surrounding vegetation areas.

Technical Features

Treatment capacity:

1,000 m³/day

Volume generated:

700 m³/day

Five units featuring:
36 installed MBR ultrafiltration modules, with a 0.08-micron pore size.

Treats effluents from: agro-industrial, hydrobiological, and meat processing operations.

Integrated treatments: physical, chemical, biological, ultrafiltration, and disinfection.

Treatment Flow

Screening and sedimentation: bar screens, a conveyor screen, and a sedimentation tank to remove coarse solids and particles.

Chemical treatment: DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation) and sludge management.

Biodigester: sludge stabilization and generation of biogas and biol (liquid fertilizer).

Biological treatment via SBR
(activated sludge) + MBR ultrafiltration.

Storage and reuse of treated water
for irrigating green areas.

Benefits of the System

Sistema

Compact system · does not require significant installation space.

Stable system · handles variations in volume and load.

High-quality treated water · enables reuse and economic returns.

Legal compliance · with government entities.
